Lately its been really cold in Norway, had it rained, there would have been lots of snow, but instead the moist in the air has created a beautiful crystal shining winterland. On my way to school, biking as usual I was overwhelmed by the view. Everything was white. The grass, the trees, the bushes and you name it. Imagine mountains and hills covered in white, not snow but frost! When the sun finally showed up everything startet to twinkle. For a moment I thought it was in a dream.
People are stocking firewood before the winter really kicks inn and yesterday I had a lovely experience with on fellow person who was doing exactly this. I only saw a pair of boots, black ones , the man himself was hidden behind the veranda. He was throwing firewood from the garden up on the veranda to stock it there. As I went by I got this strong impression that I should offer the person help. A bit embarrased I shouted "do you need help" across the garden but the person didn't hear me. After my second attemnt to contact with this man I decided to go around the corner to his front yard and through his lawn till I got to the back garden of the house. (just to make it clear, Norwegian don't like people bothering them, neither do the like to accept help from others) Therfore you can imagine how akward this whole situation was for me.
I was persisten on acting according to the feeling I got, to help this person, believing that the inspiration came from God. When I finally stood face to face with the man, I discovered he was about 80 years old and that he was helping his younger brother who was about 75 years old to stock the firewood. His younger brother was quite handicapped and he couldn't do it at all. For 3 hours I had the blessing of helping this old man named Anung stocking the wood. It made him happy, but I believed it made me even happier.
I think God is aware of everyone and I absolutely know that he loves that old man and wanted to help him through using me as a tool. I'm just grateful I was able to act on that feeling from God.
Oh my word girl, I LOVE YOU! This is inspirational :)
